Anyone who has traveled on Easyjet recently will have noticed that there are more people with cabin bags than the cabin can actually store. Therefore Easyjet staff have been asking some people to check their bag in free of charge.
Previously they have also selected bags that are hard trolley cases as these take up the most room in the cabin. Well now they have made it official and fairer by saying as long as your bag is not larger than 50 x 40 x20cm they guarantee you can take it on board. If it is the larger maximum size 56×45 x25 cm then there is no guarantee you can take it and it could have to be checked in. This will be from JULY 2nd 2013
Obviously some are more equal than others and premium services: easyJet plus cardholders, FLEXI fare, easyJet plus Upfront or Extra Legroom customers, can continue to bring ONE piece of cabin baggage no bigger than 56 x 45 x 25cm including handles and wheels – and use easyJet plus Speedy Boarding to board first in order to secure space in the overhead lockers.
Ok I know what your thinking. I want to take my bag on board it is full of useful stuff I might need during the flight. It may well be the only bag your taking with you and you like the convenience of not waiting for your bag on the carousal.
Your best option is take a soft bag, a backpack without wheels. The Cabin Max Barcelona is ideal. You will still get the maximum in but wont have the inconvenience of checking it it.
